We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide, optimise, and secure this website. Processing is based on the principles of data minimisation, transparency, and purpose limitation (Art. 5 GDPR).
3 Hosting and Server Logs
This website is hosted on servers provided by WordPress (or the hosting provider used by WordPress.com / Automattic Inc. or by [Your Web Host, e.g. IONOS, SiteGround etc.]).
The host processes access data (e.g. IP address, time of access, browser type, referrer URL) on our behalf in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in a secure and stable website.
A data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Log files are automatically deleted after a short retention period.
4 Cookies and Consent Banner
This website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function properly (e.g. language settings, login sessions).
Non-essential cookies (analytics, embedded videos, fonts, social media plugins etc.) are only activated after you have given your consent via the cookie banner, pursuant to § 25 TTDSG and Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings.
5 Embedded Content and Social Media
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, posts from Instagram).
Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — but only after you have given consent through our cookie banner.
If you interact with embedded content, data may be transferred to the respective provider (e.g. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. for Instagram).
6 Data Subject Rights
You have the right to request information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21).
You may also lodge a complaint with your competent data protection authority.
7 Data Security
Your data is transmitted via SSL encryption. We implement technical and organisational measures to protect personal data in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR.
However, please note that data transmission over the Internet may have security gaps.
8 Data Transfers Outside the EU
If personal data is transferred to recipients outside the European Union (e.g. to Google or Automattic Inc.), such transfer occurs only where an adequacy decision under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework exists or on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
